What do these people think, do they think that these Companies are going to pony up more money so their Employees can have a retirement when it comes time, when companies are down sizing and paying lower wages, what are these people smoking, look how many have lost their retirement with the economy today, this shows just how much the Government cares for the American people, they are only worried about them selves and getting Elected.

President Barack Obama just happen to side step this little detail in his state of the Union same old Bullshit, nothing new, same old Campaign speech.

Lets see if they can only pay for 77%, then this means that the wealthiest will get Social Security and Medicare, and the other 23% will have to live in a cardboard box where ever, and steal to survive, but yet the Government wants to keep people alive to suffer and give the wealthy some one to kick around and blame for the problems.

President Obama is taking his family to Florida’s Gulf Coast this weekend in what the White House is billing as a show of support for the region’s struggling businesses after the BP oil spill.

The president, First Lady Michelle Obama and daughters Sasha and Malia are scheduled to travel Saturday to Panama City, a popular tourist spot that has seen a huge drop in visitors this summer after tar balls from the oil spill washed ashore. Last month, the first lady traveled to the city in a bid to boost visitor traffic, calling the beaches there “pristine.” “Everybody should come!” she urged.

But the First Family won’t actually spend much time in the region. According to the White House, the Obamas will spend roughly 27 hours on the ground in Panama City — far less than they have on other vacation jaunts this summer.

All told, this will be the seventh vacation that the first lady has taken this summer. Last week, Michelle Obama came under fire for a four-day trip she took to Spain with Sasha and several friends. The White House has said she took the trip to comfort a grieving friend.

Other trips included a weekend visit to Maine, where the family spent a weekend touring Acadia National Park. In June, Michelle and the girls traveled to Los Angeles, where they attended the NBA finals. Later this month, the family will take a 10-day jaunt to Martha’s Vineyard, where the Obamas vacationed last summer.

Still, it’s not clear how much of a “vacation” this trip to Florida will actually be. According to the White House, Obama plans to spend part of his time meeting with local business owners.

Meanwhile, critics are already questioning whether the First Family will practice what they preach when it comes to actually engaging in any beach time. “Will Sasha swim in the Gulf?” read a Drudge Report headline Friday morning.

Boehner Fires Back at White House Over Tax Hikes

House Republican Leader John Boehner on Monday clarified his position on President Obama’s plan to raise tax rates on small businesses, releasing an extensive statement exclusively to Human Events saying he was unwilling to accept tax hikes for any American.

Boehner said he’s “got a news flash for the White House”—he’s not willing to accept tax increases for any American and that includes job-creating small business owners.

“It’s disappointing and counterproductive that the President and his advisors have decided to spin my comments yesterday as a sign that I am willing to accept tax hikes on any American. Here’s a news flash for the White House: I am not,” Boehner told Human Events. “As a former small businessman committed to freedom and smaller government, I strongly oppose the President’s plan to raise taxes on small business in a struggling economy.”

Boehner also blasted the White House for a deliberate misinformation campaign.

Decatur, Ga. – Call them the newly poor. They are the 4.8 million people in America who last year joined the ranks of people living in poverty – defined as having less than $22,000 in annual income for a family of four. They are people, probably, much like Reginald O’Neal and his family.

Mr. O’Neal and several family members were at the Dekalb County welfare department here on Thursday, trying to get help to turn the electricity back on at their house.

“If you were to see our house, you’d think we were middle class,” says the 20-something Atlantan. “But that would be missing the point: Lately, we’re poor.”

Here is a place where you can ask, WHAT is this Government doing about it, and trying to stop it, it is just like DRUGS what are they doing about this, the same thing they are doing about SLAVERY, nothing but blaming some one else, and passing TAXES.

If this Country is so hard on ILLEGAL DRUGS then why is it worse today then it was TEN years, or lets say TWENTY years when they could have put a stop on it with tighter BOARDER patrol, NO still blaming some one else, and TAXES.

How about SLAVERY, did they really ban it, or did the just SWEEP it under the rug, I think the rug because it is still going on today, but under different rules, pay minim wage or what ever you can get away with, and what is our Government doing , STILL blaming some one else and rising TAXES, when you get down to the bottom line THEY DON’T CARE, because I think they want it to happen, better known as PROFIT.

When you get down to Slavery, this Administration along with big business and unions, they are pushing this Country backwards to where if you don’t have a College degree, you will be put on a SLAVE list, and if you want to work then you will get payed what ever they want to pay you, and if you won’t go to work, then you will be forced to work with no pay, and they won’t care what Nationality you are, and there will not be a thing called a MINORITY, you are all minorities.

After Donald Berwick’s controversial recess appointment to head the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), his allies claimed that he was preparing a “point-by-point” rebuttal to his critics. Berwick does have a lot of explaining to do, after all.

He’s publically romanticized Britain’s government-run healthcare and is on the record arguing that most cities should ration the “number of centers engaging” in “cardiac surgery,” “neonatal intensive care” and “cancer care.”

It’s been three months now since his recess appointment, and still no word from the new CMS director. In fact, Berwick hasn’t granted any interviews, refuses to testify before Congress, and doesn’t take any questions at public events.

This is for the ones who got the shaft back when Companies with the help of Government took away your right to get a good wage and package increase from the Companies who complained that the working class was getting too much money and other benefits.

Does any one out there remember this, well we can’t expect these yuppies of today who are running this Country down, to know what the seniors to-day had to put with on that special day for the Companies that took away the rights of the working class to earn a good living wage which is still going on today.

I think it was when Mr. I am not a crook was in office, correct me if I am wrong, but that is when the private sector lost their rights to strike for better wages, retirement, and a better health package, you see at that time they were giving them selves more or lets put it this way giving them selves 20 to 30% percent incentives to become ruler of the Government, while only giving workers 3% percent a year with every thing, so to get a wage increase you gave up health care and retirement, or turn it all around how ever you want to say is, but for 3% percent a year, so you do the math, what do you go for, wages, better health care, or retirement, to get them all it had to be  no more then 3% percent.

Just look what has happened since, health care has gone down, wages are going down, and what is left retirement, now if you are a Government Employee, you get cost of living, good pay increases every year, good health benefits, and retirement, and what are they making, most are SIX Figure wages, while the private sector is lucky unless every one is working to make it to $50,000.00 or $70,000.00 a year, unless you are a top executive of a Company, who is bankrupting the Company with their big wages and Bonuses. They seem to think that putting it in their pocket is better than putting it back in to the Company so people can afford their products.

Lets get back to who is to blame for all the problems, or where does the trail lead for all the problems, all Government Agencies, failing to solve the problem or make it worse, spending more money on special interest, passing laws on the American people that they are exempt from, good example Health care, Social Security, they collect but don’t pay into, (like the Judge bragging about getting Social Security and never paying a dime in to it, and having a 6 figure retirement) retirements that they have taken away from the private sector or taxed away from.

Now lets look at why there are no JOBS, they allowed companies to outsource with tax incentives, charge high taxes, that go’s for all Government Agencies, so companies move to where taxes are lower or given a tax break, health care, they come up with an excuse why they can’t or won’t solve the problem, good example bedbugs, E Coli, swine flu, N1 virus, or they deny it until it becomes an Epidemic and cost the taxpayer more than if taken care or before it became an Epidemic.

WASHINGTON – Senate Republicans derailed legislation Saturday to extend expiring tax cuts at all but the highest income levels in a political showdown that paradoxically clears a path for a compromise with the White House on steps to boost the economy.

“We need to get this resolved and I’m confident we can do it,” President Barack Obama said shortly after the near party-line votes. The public must have “the peace of mind that their taxes will not go up” on Jan. 1, he added.

You know a funny thing keeps popping up, I keep hearing about our gas prices going up because we will no longer be dependent on foreign oil, and being that our Government and environmentalist won’t let them drill for energy here, they will now be able have better control of what the GAS prices and TAXES will be on what you will be paying at the pump, I think they said $3.60 by 2015 and then maybe there will be TAXES added too.

You know this sounds just like what they did with this tax break for the rich, not the poor working person, any thing the Government gives you, you always end up paying it back with interest, they don’t call it interest, they call it another Tax increase to pay for the deficit, but you know they are going to keep it this way so they have more control over all LEGAL Americans (called black mail the Government way).

Last week, a federal judge in Richmond invalidated “this affirmative duty to engage in private commerce,” i.e., ObamaCare’s stipulation that Americans must purchase health insurance. In Pensacola, another judge heard a separate challenge brought by 20 states objecting to the controversial law’s individual mandate and its unfunded Medicaid mandate.

Under attack, the Obama administration predictably defended the law’s constitutionality. Strangely, they appealed not to the Constitution to do so but to anecdotes regarding people who have lost insurance, economic utility, unexpected legal support from political opponents, and the failed attempt to overturn Social Security through the courts.

The Obama administration is trying to quiet talk about so-called “death panels” after TheNew York Times reported [Obama Returns to End-of-Life Plan That Caused Stir] Sunday that a new Medicare regulation includes incentives for end-of-life-care planning.

The Medicare policy will pay doctors for holding end-of-life-care discussions with patients, according to the Times. A similar provision was dropped from the new health care reform law after Republicans accused the administration of withholding care from the sick, elderly and disabled.

However, an administration spokesman said the regulation, which is less specific than the reform law’s draft language, is actually a continuation of a policy enacted under former President George W. Bush.

“The only thing new here is a regulation allowing the discussions … to happen in the context of the new annual wellness visit created by [healthcare reform],” Obama spokesman Reid Cherlin told The Wall Street Journal, [White House Links New End-of-Life Talks to Bush Policy].

In 2003, Medicare added a consultation visit for seniors new to the program, according to the Journal. Another 2008 law, enacted under Bush, said the visit can include “end-of-life” planning discussions.

Sarah Palin, a possible Republican presidential candidate in 2012, sparked controversy last summer when she said the reform law’s end-of-life provision would create “death panels,” in which “government bureaucrats” would decide who receives care. President Obama countered the claim by saying his administration didn’t want to “pull the plug on grandma.”

Now why would people be upset with gas going to $4.00 or more in 2011, I can’t see any reason that any one would think that, or is the PROFITS that will be made from people who are trying to make ends meet, and find a job so they can take care of their families and have a roof over their heads to keep warm.

The way I see it is the people who have the jobs, MOST are PUBLIC SERVANTS or RICH that have jobs to pay any cost of living that comes along that the Government forces on the public.

Eventually with no money going into the coffers means money will run out and the GOVERNMENT WILL run out of money, and they won’t be able to pay their bills, just like the American people who don’t have a JOB, then where will the money come from, this is where the tax extension should have been split, and the rich should not have had a tax break, in other words the rich will now have two more years to find another place to hide their profits.

[Rep. Steve Cohen (D-TN) took the debate over health care reform to a new level late Tuesday night, suggesting to a deserted House floor that Republican rhetoric around health care is akin to the Nazi propaganda that fed anti-semitism during World War II.

“They say it's a government takeover of health care, a big lie just like Goebbels," Cohen said, referring to a Nazi propagandist. "You say it enough, you repeat the lie, you repeat the lie, and eventually, people believe it. Like blood libel. That's the same kind of thing.”
Cohen said repetition of falsehoods is part of the GOP strategy to advance its agenda, the same tactics used by the Third Reich.

“The Germans said enough about the Jews and people believed it--believed it and you have the Holocaust. We heard on this floor, government takeover of health care. Politifact said the biggest lie of 2010 was a government takeover of health care because there is no government takeover," Cohen said, referencing a finding from the non-partisan group, Politifact.

Cohen’s speech is one of dozens given by House members as part of the health care repeal debate. Cohen’s extreme take is a relative outlier in the debate still underway on the floor.

Fueled by a new Republican majority, members of the House voted today to repeal the president’s health care plan by a vote of 245 to 189. A simple majority was necessary for passage.

Three Democrats– Dan Boren of Oklahoma, Mike McIntyre of North Carolina and Mike Ross of Arkansas– sided with all Republicans to repeal the plan, signed into law last March as the “Affordable Care Act.”

As we’ve noted, today’s vote is largely a symbolic move orchestrated by Republicans to make good on their campaign pledge to challenge “Obamacare.” Republicans are well aware that Democrats have vowed to block the measure in the Senate, where Democrats till maintain a majority.

Republicans are pushing Democrats to let the measure have its day in the Senate. House Majority Leader Eric Cantor (R-Va.) today challenged Democratic Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid to bring the measure up for a vote in the Senate. “The American people deserve a full hearing, they deserve to see this legislation go to the Senate for a full vote,” Cantor said Wednesday.

Republicans plan tomorrow to direct committees to begin work on a replacement health care bill. But, the party continues to pursue many other avenues to attack the health care law including rescinding specific provisions, cutting off funding and pushing back in the courts.

A plane carrying First Lady Michelle Obama was forced to abort a landing at Andrews Air Force Base outside Washington Monday when it came too close to a cargo jet already on the runway.

LOS ANGELES – The day unfolded all too familiarly for Lindsay Lohan: a court hearing, a jail sentence, a quick release.

The starlet appeared before a judge Friday for the fourth time in nearly a year and was sentenced to 120 days for violating her probation by taking a designer necklace.

Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Stephanie Sautner said she thought the actress had intentionally taken the $2,500 necklace from an upscale Venice store and shown poor judgment in not trying to return it until police became involved.

The judge reduced the actress’ charge from felony grand theft to a misdemeanor and imposed the 120-day sentence.

Lohan’s attorney Shawn Holley filed a notice of appeal right before court closed, clearing the way for the actress’ release on bail.

The Colombian government has signed two prominent lobby firms to help secure passage of its long-anticipated free trade agreement with the United States.
Peck, Madigan, Jones & Stewart, Inc. has signed a four-month, $100,000 contract with Proexport Colombia, the country’s trade and tourism agency, to provide “government affairs consulting,” according to Justice Department records. The agreement is set to run from April 13 to August 12 this year.

“The main purpose would be to work towards opening the U.S. market and services to Colombia by seeking the approval of the United States-Colombia Trade Promotion Agreement (‘The FTA’),” the contract states.

Five of the firm’s lobbyists have registered to represent Colombia, including Peter Madigan, once a senior aide to Secretary of State James Baker, and J. Jonathon Jones, ex-chief of staff to Sen. Tom Carper (D-Del.), according to Justice records.

Peck Madigan has lobbied for the Colombian government off and on since 2006.

Proexport Colombia has also hired Elmendorf | Ryan to lobby for passage of the trade deal, according to a Colombian government official.

This will be the first foreign government client for the firm, known for its ties to Democrats. Steve Elmendorf is a former senior adviser to ex-House Democratic Leader Richard Gephardt (Mo.) and Jimmy Ryan once was chief counsel and floor policy director for Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.).

The lobby firms’ contracts come as Washington gears up for passage of pending trade deals with Colombia, Panama and South Korea this summer. Since last year’s mid-term elections, President Obama has announced plans to move forward on all three.

That has earned the president praise from business groups but criticism from labor, especially for moving forward on the Colombia deal. Unions oppose the deal because of Colombia’s poor record of violence against trade unionists in the country.

To improve that record, the Obama administration and the Colombian government agreed to a labor action plan. That has helped set up a path forward for the agreement on Capitol Hill.

At a Senate Finance Committee hearing Wednesday, Sen. Max Baucus (D-Mont.), the panel’s chairman, said once Colombia meets its second stage of commitments under the plan, due on June 15, he understands that the administration will submit the trade deal to Congress for approval.

Baucus also said the three pending trade deals should move through Congress “in tandem” with an extension of the Trade Adjustment Assistance (TAA) program, which helps workers hurt by trade and expired earlier this year.  That could slow the agreements’ approval as some Republicans have resisted extending TAA.

Obama’s motorcade fined for London congestion fees

London Mayor Boris Johnson is raising a stink over minor congestion charges he says President Obama’s motorcade incurred while visiting his city, the London Evening Standard reports.

Johnson has fined the United States 120 pounds (nearly $200 U.S. dollars) in congestion levies–10 pounds per vehicle–for the presidential motorcade used during Obama’s state visit in May.

The sum may seem to be a pittance, but it is part of a much larger problem, Johnson and others say.

London officials told AFP that the American Embassy owes 5.3 million pounds ($8.7 million dollars) in unpaid congestion fines–known as C-charges–which were first established in 2003. Since the roads weren’t closed during the president’s visit, he is subject to the fines, Johnson says.

In speaking with the Standard, the Embassy defended its refusal to pay, citing the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations, which prohibits “this sort of tax on diplomatic missions.”

The Standard reports that Obama’s personal armored Cadillac–nicknamed “The Beast”–first escaped a fine because congestion charge  cameras were unable to record its license plate number.

As you may remember, “The Beast” encountered problems of its own on that UK trip.

During a visit to the U.S. Embassy in Dublin, Ireland, Obama’s car got stuck on the driveway in front of crowds of onlookers.

Sure there are times in a disaster, but you don’t have a life time disaster unless you make it your self, we have disasters here that our Government has turned their backs on, and there were a lot of lives lost, and what have you heard SORRY Don’t have the money, or you don’t qualify a month after it is over, but happen somewhere else, they are on top of it like stink on shit.

WASHINGTON (AP) — Space junk has made such a mess of Earth’s orbit that experts say we may need to finally think about cleaning it up.

That may mean vacuuming up debris with weird space technology — cosmic versions of nets, magnets and giant umbrellas, according to the chairman of an expert panel that issued a new report on the problem Thursday.

There are 22,000 objects in orbit that are big enough for officials on the ground to track and countless more smaller ones that could do damage to human-carrying spaceships and valuable satellites. The International Space Station has to move out of the way of debris from time to time.

“We’ve lost control of the environment,” said retired NASA senior scientist Donald Kessler, who headed the National Academy of Sciences report.

Since the space age began 54 years ago, civilization has littered the area just above Earth’s atmosphere with leftover boosters and other parts that come off during launches, as well as old satellites. When scientists noticed that this could be a problem, they came up with agreements to limit new space junk and those plans had been working.

Those agreements are intended to make sure what is sent into orbit eventually falls back to Earth and burns up.

But two events in the past four years — a 2007 Chinese anti-satellite weapon test and a 2009 crash-in-orbit of two satellites — put so much new junk in space that everything changed, the report said. The widely criticized Chinese test used a missile to smash an aging weather satellite into 150,000 pieces of debris larger than four-tenths of an inch (1 centimeter) and 3,118 pieces can be tracked by radar on the ground, the report said.

“Those two single events doubled the amount of fragments in Earth orbit and completely wiped out what we had done in the last 25 years,” Kessler said.

All that junk that means something has to be done, “which means you have to look at cleaning space,” said Kessler.

The study only briefly mentions the cleanup possibility, raising technical, legal and diplomatic hurdles. But it refers to a report earlier this year by a Defense Department science think-tank that outlines all sorts of unusual techniques. The report by the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency is called “Catcher’s Mitt” and it mentions harpoons, nets, tethers, magnets and even a giant dish or umbrella-shaped device that would sweep up tiny pieces of debris.

While the new report does not recommend using the technology, Kessler said it is needed. He likes one company’s idea of a satellite that is armed with nets that could be sprung on wayward junk. Attached to the net is an electromagnetic tether that could either pull the junk down to a point where it would burn up harmlessly or boost it to safer orbit.

NASA officials said they are examining the study.

The report is from the National Research Council, a branch of the National Academy of Sciences, which is an independent organization chartered by Congress to advise the government on science.

This is not a good reputation of what a UNION is, the only thing it shows is that it is a branch of a terrorist organisation that is to bring down America from within, and they are not for America, not all Unions use strong-arm tactics to force them themselves on others, you have One Union trying to monopolize and control all unions.

Don’t think that all Unions are bad, I have been with Three Unions, one was taken over by a big powerful union which did very little for us, they only wanted the money to fight for their people, the second union would not honor there own BYLAWS, the third Union jumped in with both feet and fought for us and would not put up with any violence by its members.

The union I was in when I retired, I saw other Unions slowly taking over jobs that I used to do, and that was an Equipment Operator, so what are the Long Shoreman  complaining about, they took away some of the jobs I used to do.

One factor favoring President Obama’s re-election, according to a recent article by political scientist Alan Lichtman, is the absence of scandal in his administration.

Lichtman may have spoken too soon.

The reason can be capsulized in a single word: Solyndra.

That’s the name of a company that manufactured solar panels in Fremont, Calif. (which voted 71 percent for Obama in 2008).

Solyndra was the first company to receive a loan guarantee from the Department of Energy as part of the 2009 stimulus package. This wasn’t small potatoes. The loan guarantee was for $535 million.

Why is this country saying that we need to get off of foreign dependency, but yet they turn around and stop any development to do just that, how many Oil Wells are Capped, how about Oil sand that is comparable to Canada, Natural Gas, and how much of this information is being covered up.

Congress regulates toilets.  It regulates lightbulbs.  It regulates dishwashers.  It regulates showerheads, and it even regulates the living conditions for the two-inch pupfish that calls Tucson, Ariz., home.

No serious political observer would ever suggest that that’s what John Adams​ and crew had in mind when they set up America’s constitutional republic—a government so large that it sends out edicts mandating the removal of phosphates from dishwasher detergent.

“The question of ‘Is this constitutional?’ has become synonymous with the question, ‘Will the Supreme Court tolerate this?’ ” Sen. Mike Lee told HUMAN EVENTS.  “With the government, it’s imperative that we always ask that question [of constitutionality], especially with the federal government, because as our Founding Fathers understood,” continued Lee, “whenever government expands, it does so at the expense of our individual liberty.”

But that’s what we have today—a government expanding at the expense of individual liberty.  So what went wrong?

For the first 130 years of the republic, Congress adhered strictly to the principle that the federal government has limited powers, charged with overseeing such items as national defense and regulating trades between the states and foreign nations. That all began to change during the New Deal era when FDR forced the Supreme Court to adopt a more expansive view of the Commerce Clause of the Constitution.

“The Court said, in essence, any activity that when measured in the aggregate, when replicated across every state, substantially affects interstate commerce, and is subject to regulation by Congress,” explained the freshman senator from Utah.  “When it’s translated into common everyday English, it basically means Congress can regulate pretty much anything it wants.”

Lee told HUMAN EVENTS that the first step toward constitutional fidelity is to limit “the pot of money of which Congress has access to every year.”

Sounds great, but how does the country return to its roots when Democrats, and their allies, respond to budgetary reforms and spending cuts by referring to conservatives as “terrorists,” “barbarians” and “sons of bitches?”

“You have to remember that any political party is only as powerful as its ideas are compelling and resonate with voters,” said Lee, whose first book, The Freedom Agenda, has been released.  “Those ideas are not the ideas that the voters in America are likely to view as powerful, as capable of transforming America into what it needs to become, of healing our economy and protecting our liberty.”

NOW is the time to join and PROTEST the way the Government is handling JOBS, we don’t need high-tech jobs we need jobs that every one, YES EVERY ONE can do, and that is Manufacturing with out COMPUTERS to do the jobs that people can do, because not every one is going to be able to go to college, and if you look at these companies you will see that they would have a good profit margin if they were not paying corporate employees BIG SALARIES and BONUSES, I don’t see any of this going to the American worker who actually does the work to make the money for them to get their fancy pay packages, we also need to get wages equal across the board, so taxes that the Government charges the American worker are fare, now a person making minimum wage and working two and three jobs and no benefits pay the same as a person making $56 dollars an hour with benefits.

How did a failing California solar company, buffeted by short sellers and shareholder lawsuits, receive a $1.2 billion federal loan guarantee for a photovoltaic electricity ranch project—three weeks after it announced it was building new manufacturing plant in Mexicali, Mexico, to build the panels for the project.

NEW YORK (Reuters) – Lowe’s Cos Inc said on Monday it is closing 20 of its U.S. stores, eliminating nearly 2,000 jobs, and the home improvement retailer now plans to open far fewer locations in the future, citing the need to improve its profitability.

A local NBC affiliate in Richmond, Virginia reports that thieves stole a truck carrying hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of equipment that travels with President Obama, including his Teleprompters.

Officials recovered the truck on Monday. Here’s the NBC 12 breakdown of the caper:

When you see President Obama speak, there is a  pretty typical setup including the presidential seal on a podium, the  see-thru Teleprompter and a portable sound system.

Thieves saw the truck carrying that equipment and couldn’t resist the target.

We’re told the truck was parked at the  Virginia Center Commons Courtyard Marriott in advance on Wednesday’s  presidential visit to Chesterfield.

Sources said inside that vehicle was about $200,000 worth of sound equipment, several podiums and presidential seals, behind which only the President himself can stand.

They told NBC12 around 12:30 Monday afternoon  that truck was recovered in the parking lot of the Holiday Inn Express  near the airport and hotel staff confirm police activity.
